SAFEZA AVA-X Establishes U.S. Presence with Launch of AVA-X, Inc.

Following our success at this year's SelectUSA Investment Summit, where we won a highly competitive defense category against leading global startups and held numerous high-value meetings and productive engagements, SAFEZA AVA-X is pleased to announce the formal establishment of its United States presence through its newly incorporated entity, AVA-X, Inc.

This milestone marks a significant step in our global expansion journey, building on strong momentum in South Africa. With AVA-X, Inc. now incorporated, we are preparing to raise our Series A to accelerate growth in the U.S. market.

Our platform is built on the core technology of AVA-X AG, our founding company in Switzerland, where the technology originated. This Swiss-engineered foundation powers all of our markets, combining advanced facial recognition with precise object detection and our predictive algorithm platform to deliver superior accuracy in real-world operational environments, with strong data sovereignty controls. With detection accuracy of 99.82%, our solution significantly reduces false positives and false alerts compared to legacy systems, minimizing unnecessary deployments, investigations, and arrests, and directly easing the burden on law enforcement and defense personnel.

A core strength of our technology is that it is trained and battle-tested on South African datasets, among the most demanding and diverse real-world security environments in the world. This gives our models proven resilience under challenging operational conditions, which we are now adapting and validating for U.S. deployment.

Fewer false alerts mean fewer wasted resources on non-events. The scale of the problem is well documented: U.S. police respond to more than 36 million alarm calls each year, the equivalent of roughly 35,000 full-time officers and the vast majority are false. In 2023, the Los Angeles Police Department alone fielded over 65,000 alarm-related calls, and Seattle reported that 96% of its alarm calls were false. A long-cited national benchmark put the annual cost of police false-alarm response at approximately $1.8 billion, a figure now widely considered understated as alarm volumes have grown. Wrongful arrests stemming from less accurate identification technologies add further legal, detention, and settlement costs, often reaching tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars per incident.

AVA-X technology is designed to cut these inefficiencies dramatically. Based on our internal modeling, we estimate that at scale across adopting agencies it can help save U.S. taxpayers tens of millions of dollars annually by reducing false positives, streamlining operations, and allowing personnel to focus on genuine threats. This translates to better public safety outcomes, lower costs, and more efficient use of taxpayer funds.
